That's me. My buddy, Wendy, took that photo of me when we were working together in Boston a long time ago. So what's this site about? How did it start? What's my point?

I started this site on my birthday in April of 2003. I needed a project. A place to divert my considerable energy and attention. I won't get into why I needed such a distraction. Let us just assume that I NEEDED a distraction... and that I needed to affirm my identity as a straight edge guy.

Since then things have changed. I have changed. My lifestyle is still definitively straight edge, but I'm not so concerned with tagging myself as such. Living a clean and healthy life doesn't need a label. I may have needed a label for a while as I was trying to work a bunch of stuff out... identities that come with labels help ease the pressure of defining self in times of stress. Does that make sense? But now I'm far more concerned with living than labeling. I really hope you enjoy this site. Please feel free to comment on entries and contact me with comments and suggestions.
