Black and White
July 12th, 2004Welcome to my black and white photo gallery. These are a few exercises I’m using to help push myself through a minor crisis of vision. With the exception of the tractor image on the second row, these photos are new, all shot, adjusted and printed within the last 30 days. All are black and white; used to help me see composition again. More to the point, to see the photographs in the everyday things I have around me.
Please let me know what you think and if you would like a print of any of these images. I’ve recently taken a week-long class in black and white and color digital fine printing and have purchased a high quality archival fine art printer. I feel I can easily match or beat my best darkroom work using this printer. I am eager (desparate?) to produce some gorgeous prints for your walls!
All images were made with a Nikon D1x, D100 or Mamiya RB 67 using Kodak Tri-X film.
